Established in 1878, Champlain College is a privately owned higher education institute with its main campus located in Burlington, Vermont. There are two international campuses as well, in Montreal, Canada and Dublin, Ireland, providing the opportunity for students to study abroad. The institution has been accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Additionally, Champlain College has been named in the list of 'Best 376 Colleges: 2012 edition' issued by the Princeton Review. It has also been acclaimed by US News & World Report America in their list of 'Best Comprehensive Colleges in the North, 2011'. Presently there are over 2,000 students enrolled in the college.
Champlain College Degree Programs
Champlain College offers both undergraduate and graduate study programs. On-campus education is provided through associate's degrees, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and certificate programs. Several online programs are available as well.
Undergraduate Programs: These are broadly divided into four categories:
- Division of Business: This division includes majors in accounting, business administration and marketing. Some prominent majors include Business Law, Human Resource Management, Financial Accounting and Public Relations.
- Division of Communication & Creative Media: Includes majors such as Filmmaking, Creative Media, Graphic Designing and Digital Media.
- Division of Education & Human Studies: This division includes several social sciences majors such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, Legal Studies and Environmental Policy.
- Division of Information Technology & Sciences: This division focuses on computer sciences with majors in Software Engineering, Web Development and Computer Networking etc.
Graduate Programs: These include Master's degrees in the following eight disciplines:

Admission Requirements
Admission requirements for undergraduate programs typically include high school grades and test results of standardized college entrance exams such as SAT or ACT. However, students applying in the Communication & Creative Media category need to submit portfolios based on Champlain College guidelines as well. For the Master's programs, admission requirements and process varies with each major. Financial aid and several scholarships are offered by the college for students who qualify.
