LeTourneau Univeristy is situated on a 162 acre campus in Longview, Texas. It is a private, interdenominational Christ-centered university that offers extensive programs in more than eighty five different areas.  From as early as 1946, when the university opened its doors to students it has been preparing them for successful careers and a gratifying professional life in various fields ranging from aeronautics, business, computer science, engineering and business. The university is equipped with the latest technology which is expected from a modern state of the art institute. With a vision of taking work seriously and as a challenge,  the univeristy promotes serving a broader mission and creating an eternal impact.

LETU's standing

Over the years, LETU has proved its standards in academic brilliance and it is for this reason that it has the credit of being named as one of the "America's Best Colleges" consistently by U.S. News & World Report. It held this honour for nearly two decades which speaks volumes of its reputation.

Academics

With time LETU has grown and today it offers programs in engineering, aviation, liberal arts business, biblical studies, science and various undergraduate and graduate degrees. With more than 2000 students enrolled at all campuses and out of which more than 1300 are traditional undergraduates in Longview, the university aims to follow its mission statement of claiming every workplace in every nation. The highly qualified faculty has an impressive percentage of doctorates in their field,  the university strives to provide quality education to its students.

Along with its elaborate educational programs, it also seeks to cater the needs of those who cannot attend campus classes for any number of reasons. For them an online education system is maintained and with online help students can easily opt for graduate and undergraduate programs. It also has campuses situated all over the state in cities like Austin, Athens, Baytown, Houston, Bedford, Harlingen, Tyler and Dallas.

Admission Requirements

When it comes to the admission procedure, the university is very selective and prefers students with SAT scores between 150-200 points or a 3.5 high school GPA. Along with this, academic records, resumes and the student's character is also taken into consideration. The Christian values are also considered as they play an important role in the institute's founding principals.
