Laguardia Community College
LaGuardia Community College claims to produce 'Leadership for a Sustainable World'. It was named after the late Mayor of New York City Fiorello H. LaGuardia and comes under the umbrella of City University of New York. The college, as well as the borough it is located in, boasts the most ethnically diverse population. The college was founded in 1968 and is known for offering lower tuition fee than most other colleges in the city of New York. The college also lends extensive support to its students who come from different backgrounds.
LaGuardia Community College gives all learners a great opportunity to pick off from where they left. One basic requirement before you can enroll into the program is to present proof that you have immunized for mumps, measles and rubella. There are several LaGuardia Health Services administered clinics which offer free immunization periodically every year. The minimum requirement to take up admission in any of the degree programs offered is high school. In case you did graduation from a high school, you can always take the General Educational Development aka GED test and get admission in any of the offered programs. It offers three basic education programs which are: Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Applied Science (AAS), and Associate in Science (AS).
