Kapiolani Community College
When the Kapiolani Community College was founded, it was called Kapi'ʻolani Technical College. It was only later that it became a community college. It is located in the neighborhood of Waikiki in the city of Honolulu, Hawai'i. It was founded in 1946 and it operates under the University of Hawai’i system, which per se comes under the umbrella of the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. The college boasts a beautiful fifty two acres of land on the slopes of Diamond Head which was added to it as part of the expansion program of the 1970s. Almost forty five thousand students enroll in several of the programs offered by the college every year.
The college offers a lot of subjects for the programs like Physical Therapist Assistant, Therapy and Counseling, Natural Sciences, Biotechnology, Science, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Kinesiology and Exercise Science, Nutrition and Exercise Therapy, Nursing, Licensed Practical Nursing, Vocational Nurse Training, Registered Nurse Training (RN, ASN, BSN, MSN), EMT Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technology, Nursing and Emergency Medicine, Medical Support and Technology, Respiratory Care Therapy, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Business Management, Marketing Management, E-Commerce, Electronic Commerce, Accounting, Information Technology, Cooking and Related Culinary Arts, Liberal Arts, Graphic Communications and a lot of others.
