Lifeguard Job Description

How to Become a Lifeguard?

To pass the swimming tests, you also need a strong kick, in order to avoid extra strain on your arms while swimming. The lifeguard courses enable students to identify and prevent emergencies. They learn about working in teams, correctly scanning a body of water to ensure safety of swimmers, and performing water rescue. They also learn how to save drowning victims, respond skillfully to injured victims, provide first aid and emergency care, perform paperwork and debrief after emergency, and interact with customers. In order to become certified, you must attend the classes regularly, and perform all the essential skills correctly. Once you have passed the written tests and skill scenarios, the instructor will provide you with the documentation to become certified.
