Rappahannock Community College, or simply RCC, is a 2 year co-ed community college that was established in 1970. It is situated in Glenns, VA in United States of America. Due to the Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education, the institute allows the eligible and needy students to obtain Pell Grants and other federal aid as well. The College offers instructions in AA&S, AAS, in addition to certificate programs in various areas of study. The Academic Division also provides access to these programs through broad developmental education, academic advising and dual credit opportunities. Weekend College is also one of the opportunities that can be availed at RCC.
The option of online education and distance learning is also available at Rappahannock Community College. Students, living in far away areas or the ones who have fulltime jobs and cannot make it to the college everyday can easily opt for online learning. Not only these programs are easily affordable but also help the students in time management. Online Learning allows students to take their course classes according to their own will as these courses are specifically designed to cater to the needs of the students.
About 3000 students are enrolled at Rappahannock Community College and the numbers just continue to grow day by day. Several student honor clubs, societies and organizations are hosted by RCC campus. These organizations are based on the wide-ranging interests of the students. Some of the most prominent societies of the college include the Culture Club (Glenns Campus), Art Club, Dread Poets Society, and Phi Theta Kappa. Rappahannock Community College also has an active sports scene. Its athletics department supports various women’s and men’s sports teams which participate in sports such as bowling, basketball, baseball, and softball.
