Early Childhood Education

The term ‘Early Childhood’ basically refers to the human life from birth to the age of eight. Therefore, early childhood can be seen as the most vulnerable stage in life. From the time of birth, children start learning and receiving education from parents. This means that Early Childhood Education begins at home from where children learn their basic values and virtues. However, due to the current situation, where both parents have to work to maintain a good lifestyle, children do not get a lot of time to spend with parents. Which is why, a lot of pre-schools, play-schools, and early education institutes have emerged. Such institutions provide Early Childhood Education to children, playing a vital role in child development.
The ages, at which children learn and grasp most of the stuff, is from 2 years to 8 years. During this most significant phase of their life, children learn values, acquire specific skills, and grasp different languages. As revealed by renowned language specialists, young children have greater power to acquire language skills in terms of spoken words, rhythm, tones, and accent. This is so, because the brains of the toddlers are well tuned to absorb various things and retain more information than adults.
The Early Childhood Education institutions educate the children using various techniques. One of the most common ways adopted by such institutions often focuses on children learning through play. After spending first 2 years of their life with parents at home, the children are enrolled in schools at the ages of 3-6. They are in a class which is titled as playgroup or kindergarten. All the preschools have a curriculum to follow, in order to foster greater educational learning. However, the terms Day care and Childcare do not embrace the educational aspects, but they too are now focusing on different educational approaches.
