Treasure Valley Community College, when founded in 1962, worked as part of the Oregon Community College System. Initially it offered afternoon and evening classes held at Ontario High School and moved to its own building in 1965. With increasing educational needs and number of students, new building were added, today the campus has 13 main buildings. The number of students enrolling annually in the college, are increasing at fast rate, currently it facilitate about 12,000 full-time, part-time and distant students. Like its traditional education trademark, the college has earned a strong name in the online education sector too.
The rich cultural diversity seen on the campus is a proof that the college aims to provide the best atmosphere for everyone. College’s commitment is apparent with the means it has taken to ensure the mutual respect and harmony among people belonging to different religions, races, ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic status and physical abilities etc. At the same time, the standard of education at Treasure Valley Community College has tremendously increased. It has devised its courses and degrees in a way to harbor lifelong impact and at the same time ensure and secure students’ worth in job market.
