Haywood Community College

Haywood Community College when inaugurated in 1965 offered only one curriculum to 40 students. Today it is serving over 9000 students with its 50 distinguished programs. More than half of the students attend classes through continuing education including adult basic education community service programs GED preparation and occupational courses. The credibility of the college was so well spread within its first 10 years that it needed a properly functioning foundation to manage and monitor its services. Where most of the institutes focus on job oriented disciplines HCC aims at carving the leader out of us with educational tools.
In 1986 it inaugurated the first advanced tech centre of North Carolina i.e. Regional High Technology Center. This institute has trained and served over 100 hundred companies and about 50000 individuals so far. Now it has become one of the most advanced and equipped technical training and education centre. Through aids and donations Haywood Community College has been able to start new project along with vast resources. The college's perfection in all its educational and training ventures has made it stand tall among the best institute for formal traditional technical and distant learning. With rising demands for online education the college has geared itself to maintain the same standards in the world of cyber education.
