Bladen Community College

Situated in a rural area in Dublin North Carolina the Bladen Community College (BCC) has been operating ever since its establishment in 1967 as a Bladen Technical Institute. The college was set up to cater to the needs of Bladen County residents. Currently it is celebrating over 40 years of educational services in the Bladen region. Other than offering vocational and occupational courses the Bladen Community College also offers a number of diplomas post secondary certificates and degrees to its students. There is a continuing education department for occupational and vocational programs.
The study areas are wide ranging and include medical coding practical nursing business paralegal technology management behavioral science office systems and fine arts. Due to a low limited student ratio at BCC the students are largely benefited and get close attention. The college also offers evening classes along with distance learning/online courses. Distance learning has made it easier for the students living in remote and distant areas to have easy access to quality education while saving a lot of time and money for them.
Additionally Bladen Community College boasts an active Student Government Association which is responsible for organizing events and extracurricular activities for students. The association takes care of social events service projects campus organizations and athletic programs. The newsletter published by the students of Bladen Community College is called 'The Eagle'. The school also features an athletic program and various types of financial aids that include grants loans and scholarships for the deserving students. To name a few most rendered scholarship programs to the students Carolina Power and Light Scholarship the Miss Anabel Sloan Scholarship and NC Nurse Education Scholarship Loan Program are quite beneficial for students. The college keeps an open-admission policy.
