North Hennepin Community College

North Hennepin Community College started off as a Junior College when it was established in 1966. It was much later that it became a full fledge community college. The main Suburban campus that is located in Brooklyn Park in the State of Minnesota covers eighty four acres. Initially, the classes for the college were held at Osseo Junior High School. The college moved to Brooklyn Park only in 1969. Today, it is one of the largest community colleges in the State of Minnesota. As a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, the college is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Many Associate degree programs are offered at the college along with a myriad of certificate programs. Amongst the many other programs are Biology, Chemistry, Histotechnology, Medical Lab Technology, Nursing, Physical Education, Public Works, Building Inspection Technology, Construction Management, Pre-Engineering, Housing Inspection, Operations Management, Mathematics, Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Liberal Arts, Individualized Studies, History, Business Computer Systems and Management, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Accounting, American Sign Language, Paralegal, Law Enforcement, Studio Arts, Criminal Justice, Studio Arts.
There are more than nine thousand students enrolled at the college in different programs. A majority of these students enroll in the credit courses while a big chunk takes up technical education and continuing education.
